Who We Are

Snowbird is an employee engagement firm. Our mission is to help organizations create a more inclusive and equitable workplace. We do this by providing training tools and solutions that fosters a workplace culture where every employee can feel safe, valued, and respected.

We approach conducting assessments and inquiries with two equally important objectives: determine what underlining issues are affecting an organization while, at the same time, providing a safe space for honest feedback that minimizes the fear of reprisal. This approach allows us to successfully gather actionable information that’s grounded on facts, not just perceptions or hearsay. This results in leaders having peace of mind in making impactful and organizational decisions that help re-set and re-engage their workforce.

Melissa Ovard

Melissa serves as the CEO and Co-Founder of Snowbird and helps organizations translate complex issues and scenarios around compliance to organizational policies and laws that govern the American workplace. Her primary role is to represent the voice of the employee and to provide strategic communications and messaging into narrative that is relatable, understandable, and actionable. Melissa has over 15 years of corporate communications and change management experience with organizations such as Mercer Delta Consulting and Marsh & McLennan. She’s developed workplace campaigns and provided advising and training to various Fortune 500 companies such as BloombergGov, McKinsey, AARP Foundation, and across multiple U.S. government agencies. She has served as a trial and jury consultant, further honing her understanding of how unconscious bias affects the effectiveness of communication and how it influences the perception of others.
